Another step in the right direction

As we look towards clean-up, remediation, and removal options, the state’s case in Superior Court also gains momentum in the same direction. Today Judge Maritza Berdote Byrne appointed a Receiver to take control of Mr. Wallace’s assets and to hire people to coordinate the remediation of the property. Fines and penalties will not be assessed, until the Receiver identifies the assets. The judge stated in her decision that since clean-up is such an important issue, she wants to ensure that funds exist to accomplish it, before assessing any fines or penalties for Mr. Wallace’s failure to comply.
