Quite a coincidence…

Star Ledger posted an editorial piece this morning related to Senate Bill 1683 that would expand current solid waste permitting to include dirt, construction debris, and dirt brokers. The dumping on Silver Spruce is the exact reason why this bill is needed, too many loopholes and not enough enforcement for those dealing with “fill material.” Members of P.A.I.D. were on their way to Trenton to provide testimony in support of the bill.

At the end of the meeting the bill was referred to Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. Another step in the right direction!
